Thnx,
heb afgelopen maandag een battle, hier een klein reportje van het Hawk Wargames forum:
I had a good Game against Michael (also on the forum I believe), he set up the board with some amazing terrain and on a sweet battle mat. We did the mission with 4 focal points around the middle and 1 in the middle. Michael did help me out a bit as he knew I am still quite new to the game. I think my list is pretty good though my rolling was very very good (except for some of my Ares that keep rolling 1's even when I only need a 2 to hit or wound).
Here is once more the list I used:
Standard ArmyClash: 1499/1500 points
Standard Army
- PHR 1499pts (PHR Standard Roster) [1499/1500 pts]
- Hand of the Sphere [276 pts]

- Immortals: 2x Immortals, Triton A1 [101 pts]
- Immortals [181 pts]
- Immortals: 2x Immortals, Triton A1 [101 pts]

- Mercury Drones: 4x Mercury, 2x Triton A2(+Stealth Missiles, +RN-5 Skyhammer) [116 pts]
- Sirens: 2x Sirens, Triton A1 [129 pts]
My apologies for the poor poor quality of the pictures but there is hardly any lighting at our club.
As you can see I just made a line of battle-groups over the board and just walked forward (I did this because there wasn't to much terrain to block my line of sight). I did concentrate a bit more on the right side because that's where his Ferum was. I chose not to disembark my infantry into the closest buildings right away as I thought he would just start shooting the buildings down (I didn't realize he didn't had any demolition units in his list). My other thought was to 2 on 1 infantry into the buildings he jumped in first.

I lost one Helios to his death ray thingy in the second turn, but already did quite good shooting wise (not mentioning a certain Ares), even my Odin and Zeus managed to kill 1 tank each (yay for non skimmer enemies). I jumped 4 stands of immortals into the middle building (after he got there first) and used a command card to get into the long building on the far side (to annoy his guys over there). My Sirens went into the big building nearest to me (I originally wanted to go in here with a squad of immortals and use the Sirens in the middle, but his strong infantry needed countering with my Sirens). He used his Archangel to shoot down the Siren's Triton, but my last Phobos got back at it from pretty much 24'' away and some amazing dice rolls (this must have scared the other Archangel as we didn't see it come onto the board even once).

This turn I started to figure out the rules a bit more. I thought you could search for the objective as well when you jumped into a building, but apparently only the first person in can do so, so I started to be a bit more aggressive with my drones. I was a bit afraid he would kill them with his drones but he went for my transport Tritons

. Luckily my Helios killed some drones as a reaction when he tried to kill it, and the leftover ones didn't manage to hurt it. Some extra Phobos shots took care of some more drones and mine started the search for LoS with the Ferum. On the walker/tank shoot-out I was definitely on the winning side although I'm still not sure if that was just to distract me from thinking about the objectives (I always seem to think every mission is just about killing the opponent). The Sirens did amazing in combat (I didn't roll a single 1 on 17 saves) and the 2 immortal squads did more then enough to win the battle in the middle (and take over the objective that was found). The 3rd combat was an exact draw. I also used a command card to do a double damage shot with my Odin on R(f) range.

In the 4th turn I declared war on the wolverines and drones that where taking down my Tritons (the ones that mattered), and got rid of his last AA tank. I won the CQB with my Sirens and got rid of the Ferum with my Stealth Missiles and Skyhammer, we went a bit quick here as we ran out of time and decided to only do 4 turns. Michael failed another roll to find the objective in the only building I didn't enter which cost him greatly.

I think my list was very good, but have to give a big thanks to Michael for helping me out with the game, and also have to mention that he rolled how I usually do (maybe I passed it on :?:). I didn't feel I got to fully use the Helios, though the one that did survive survived a lot of shots. I still love the Zeus/Odin combo (even though I might try out a different one just to see what that does). And the Apollo's are very nice (I didn't do that much with them but it's just the fact that they are annoying and can move so fast).
