After a hard fought war against the forces of chaos, we seemed to have been victorious at last. Although I cannot shake the feeling this all is far from over, there are other things that need my attention. My father has send me to construct a trade post south between the human lands of brettonia and the empire.

Although I myself am reluctant towards trading with these humans I understand its importance, the port should be finished in a few weeks and trading with the humans can then commence from out of port yveras. The human commanders have blessed us (if it can be called a blessing) with there visits more often, and our alliance will hold true in these lands. Now that trade agreements have been made.

The port is finished and I have taken up my duties as supervisor. The first trade cart have reached our gates and our first carts should have reached theirs around this time.

Trading goes prosperous and I have grown fond of meeting the human captain “ William Skrepte” although how odd his name my sound to our elven ears, his presence is highly appreciated and valued . Even so my relations with the empire commander continue to better, communications with the brettonians are strangely keeping to a minimum, only a messenger a month comes to us and mostly bearing news and tales of how our two races could work together but no real agreements have been made.

William left our port 2 days back, and already I am growing concerned for his safety, my senses tell me we are not alone, again my thoughts begin to wander back to the chaos wars of less then a human year ago. Im feeling something evil closing in as of chaos still remains in these lands, at night the forests are to quiet, at day to noisy as if the animals themselves feel there is something wrong.

A messenger from William has just reached our gate, covered in blood mostly not his own he handed me a letter,

Eranon

Please come to our aid we are under attack, the outlying villages are being attacked without mercy.
Our enemies scouring the country side, tomorrow we ride out to safe the people of stranblat, a small village southwest of us and northwest of you. I hope I can count on your aid.

William Skrepte

All preparations have been made, tomorrow I take out my finest knights and ride to stranblat to aid William’s forces, scouts and reavers are already on there way to check out enemy movement.

Battle for stranblat(high elf story line)

With clashing of swords and the screams of the dying the men and skaven ascended upon one another, the skaven horde seemed without number but rescue was on the way as Eranon rode with his army towards the slaughter, sword raised hi, the elven noble was the first among all to charge the field. “ go forth my brothers in the name of khaine” . But before the elves saw battle their dark counterparts had entered the field, and assassin jumped out of nowhere and charged Eranon, in skills the assassin far exceeded Eranon, but with all this cunning the assassin could not penetrate the elfish thick armor, and although shaken by the sudden attack Eranon stabbed with his sword and wounded the assassin, he on his turn knew it was to much and fled back into the darkness.

On the other end of the field William was fighting the skaven horde, his men were torn to shreds by the many spears and daggers stabbed or thrown at them. William knew retreat was not possible for all of them and he yelled at his men to flee and fight another day, and so his knights fled the field but he remained to be overwhelmed by the ratmen.

The battle quickly ended when the high elves crashed through the skaven lines and slew all but those quick enough to flee the field, once Eranon reached the other side of the field the land was more a big pile of boddies of both forces, the biggest pile of was one of skaven and on top lay one man, William skrepte seemed to have died in this battle, Eranon ordered his men to recover his body and bring him back towards port Yveras.

Its has now been a few days after the battle against the skaven, I am puzzled by the way things went, although the druchii assassin failed to harm me I’m concerned for their part in these battles, our scouts report heavy movement of chaos, skaven and orc forces in the region. We must be ever more careful. Today I have stopped all trading with the humans, and hope they do the same for the sake of their people’s lives. But on to more pressing concerns my human friend still breathes, but his body is heavily damaged, cuts, bruises and flesh wounds cover his entire body, our healers are busy every day healing him. I hope he will be able to live on after this, but what I wonder is what did the skaven do with his armor and weapons… and most of all what do the markings mean on William’s back…

The silence around the port is strange… as if something is near. I cant make up what or why but I have ordered the guard doubled… and construction of high walls have started. Becasuse I am not sure of what is going on and with an unknown enemy defense is always the better virtue.

Orc warbands have been spotted on the island offshore, we heard panicing cries as if something or someone is scaring them… Although I find it hard to believe there is something that can scare and orc, we have no resources or men available to find out what it is.

More cries of panic have been heard from the strange isle, our defense better hurry and we must hope for the best, William has awoken today, but was unable to say a word. Strange lights have been seen on the forest edges, I have a feeling it wont be long before I have to ride out once more.

Measures.

Although Eranon and his forces had survived and killed most of the attackers his friend William had fled the field as a monstrosity, for the elves sigmar held no greater meaning then chaos and if men did wrong he would be treated the same, and although he hated the decision he pronounced William a renegade and perhaps dangerous to the elves.

With the defeat of the small chaos, orcs and skaven forces Eranon quickly set on rebuilding port Yveras. Although this went almost without interruption, movement in the waters at night made the high elves stand guard at 100% all the time.

With most of the high elf forces set upon building and defending the port, most of the surrounding lands where left to be roamed by the evil forces. And with the castle of men leaderless, Eranon could not even hope for aid, except for the small dwarf force that had appeared in battle. The dwarfs not being the best army to make patrols, most of the defense fell to their able hands.
